Registering for a Course

Please follow the directions below to successfully register for an AETN PBS TeacherLine Course:

1. To log into the Arkansas IDEAS Portal, you will need your ten-digit State Teacher Identification Number (STIN) to create your profile. If you are in a public K-12 school, you will be able to obtain your number from the Technology Director/Representative or APSCN representative in your district. It is generated and located in the TRIAND and APSCN systems.
2. If you are unable to obtain your ID from your district, please contact AETN at 1-800-488-6689 or arideastech@aetn.org after you have attempted to retrieve it from your representative.
3. Once you have your 10-digit STIN number, go to Arkansas IDEAS Learn Now! to become a member by creating a profile. If you are already a member, log in. If not, then you will need to select “Click Here” under the Members apple.
4. Under New User Registration: Input your first name, last name, user name, e-mail address, password, and verify password. The user name and password is something you will create. Please choose a unique name, since you will be identified by your username if you choose to participate in an online discussion.
5. Under Additional Information: Enter your 10-digit State Teacher ID, choose your LEA# by clicking on find and then click register. Complete the training manuals before proceeding.
6. Now you are in the Learning Management System (LMS). Select My Events, click on the Register button. Then select Free PBS TeacherLine – Event. Read the information, and then click on Register. This will take you directly to the PBS TeacherLine website. If not, click on View; select Free PBS TeacherLine – Event and then Launch TeacherLine.
7. Once you are on the site, you will be able to view those courses offered by AETN by choosing Course Catalog, selecting See All Courses under subject area, and then choosing Scheduled Courses located under Course Search. You can even browse by subject area or by grade level. Once you have decided on a course click on View Details/Enroll and follow the steps to receive a confirmation through your personal email.
8. When the course begins, please be sure to always log in through the Arkansas IDEAS Portal to connect to PBS TeacherLine.
