Kathleen Branton has been AETN's Director of Education for more than 10 years, and has been in public broadcasting for more than 15 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting and a Master’s Degree in Media. Under her direction, AETN Education has established Arkansas’s only statewide online professional development portal for all of Arkansas's teachers. The portal includes seamless entry and access to streamed videos and AETN productions, free online professional development courses, lesson plans, extensive resources and personal development records management for educators. As AETN's educational liaison to the State Legislature, she has pioneered the cause of technology-enhanced educational resources for Arkansas.
